WWW Wednesday #2

Hi Readers!

How’s you’re week going? I hope you all are having a good one! Welcome to another WWW Wednesday. This meme is originally hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words.

Now, without further ado. Let’s get started!

The Last Empire by Brandon Sanderson – 44%

I’ve been listening to the Audiobook every time I go for my daily jogs. It’s so captivating that I find myself taking longer routes just to listen to more of it. Let me tell you if I’m getting fit for summer, it will be all Brandon Sanderson’s fault!

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor – 19%

I’m not sure how I feel about this book yet. I had to shelve it for a bit because it was quite slow. But it has that “Atlantis: The Lost Empire” vibe to it. So, I’m excited for what happens in this book.

Half Bad by Sally Green – 13%

Hmmm… I don’t know about this book. The writing style, I’m not a huge fan of. But the plot seems good, I guess. But I’ll give it a few more pages to see if it’s worth reading.

The Court of Thrones and Roses by Sarah J. Maas | ★★★☆☆

I can understand why this book is so hyped in the book community. I kinda enjoyed this book, surprisingly. But there were some glaring issues that I had with it.

Red Sister by Mark Lawrence | ★★★★☆

Wow! I can definitely understand why this book is a crowd favourite. The world the Mark Lawrence has built in this book is phenomenal!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid |★★★★★

I can’t rave about this book enough. Evelyn Hugo is a boss ass queen and I aspire to be as complex and amazing as she is!

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

I know I’ve said that this was the next book that I was planning to read. However, I was a bit of a willy and accidentally returned my copy on overdrive. Now, I have to wait another 2 weeks to read this book. *Sigh* I swear this book is trying to play hard to get with me.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this series and I wanted to give it a try. I am a bit sceptical though. As some overhyped books that I’ve read, sometimes don’t live up to the hype. But with that being said, I have high hopes for this book and I hope that I will enjoy it.

Sadie by Courtney Summers

I’ve wanted to dip my toe into the contemporary genre for quite some time now and I’ve heard that this book is a good place to start. Can’t wait!

How’s your Wednesday going?
