WWW Wednesday #16

Hello, Lovelies!

Welcome to another WWW Wednesday! I hope you all had an amazing reading week! I’ve had a bit of trouble getting through some books this week. I’ve been bit busy with work and other commitments but I managed to sneak in a couple of books when I’m not busy getting stuff done. It hasn’t been easy managing my fatigue with everything else but I’ve been using books as my down-time and it’s really helped so far. Once again, this meme was originally hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words and all you have to do is answer these questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

What are you currently reading?

So far, I am really liking the book. I haven’t gotten too deep into the story yet but I really like Joan Ho’s writing style. I think it fits well with the story. Also since I’m listening to this as an Audiobook, I found that the narrator does really well with fitting the character with her changes in her voice.

I really love this book. It does amazingly when explaining how to read Tarot not by its meanings but through intuition. I also loved the way he taught it by giving a reading to well-known historical and fictional characters and giving them advice in their situation. For example, he did a really good three-card reading for Cinderella where she asks him about finding Mr. Right at the ball. I thought it was super interesting and baffling at how the cards came up and described her situation very well.

What did you recently finish reading?

Although the first book was both a hit-and-miss in many aspects, I was still excited in dive back into the world that Tomi Adeyemi had built. The first couple of chapters were not bad but after that, the book just went down-hill. Character development just went out the window, there were loop-holes that were not answered, the romance was a complete dud and for some reason there was always something going on to the point where you don’t even see any world building elements. It was a complete and utter disappointment.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I don’t think I will be setting a book for next week’s read. Since I’ve got quite a few books to get through I want to use this time to catch up on the books that I am currently reading right now.

How Was Your Reading Week? Found Any Interesting Books? Or Were They All Duds?
